The Department of Economics and Finance in the Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure track faculty position in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin in fall 2027. The Department supports BS/BA in economics in both the Tobin College of Business and St. John’s College of Arts and Sciences as well as other programs in both schools.

A Ph.D. in Economics is required for tenure track position. We seek colleagues whose research and teaching will strengthen our undergraduate and graduate programs and contribute to the intellectual life of the Department, College and University.

We are particularly interested in the following fields:

Q5 Environment Economics
I10 Health Economics
Q01 Sustainable Development
