Assistant Professor of Economics (Econometrics)
Maxwell School, Syracuse University | Syracuse, NY | Full-time, tenure-track
The Department of Economics in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in econometrics. We seek candidates with methodological depth in econometrics and a strong research interest in applied microeconomics (e.g., urban, industrial organization, labor, education, health, or public), applying modern tools to policy-relevant questions. Successful candidates may affiliate with one of Maxwell's fourteen interdisciplinary research centers.
Responsibilities: Teach graduate and undergraduate econometrics and applied microeconomics courses, advise doctoral dissertations, serve on doctoral and comprehensive exam committees, and maintain an independent research program publishing in leading peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field by the time of appointment, clear promise of a tenure-track research record, and the ability to teach graduate-level econometrics.
Pay: $120,000–$160,000 (8.5-month salary), based on education, experience, and skills.
