The Molasky Family Department of Economics and Real Estate in the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank starting Fall 2027. We seek applicants with outstanding research and teaching potential in applied microeconomics, particularly in public, labor, health, or industrial organization. The successful candidate will strengthen our department's research in this area and teach graduate and undergraduate courses, which may include microeconomics at the master's level. Responsibilities also include participating in departmental, college, and university service, and collaborating with faculty to advance the department’s research and teaching mission.

Salary: The salary for this position is competitive with similarly situated institutions.

Qualifications: This position requires a Ph.D. in Economics from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). ABDs may be considered, but credentials must be obtained by August 1, 2027. Candidates must demonstrate potential to conduct high-quality research in their field(s), demonstrate potential to publish in leading academic journals, and demonstrate potential to be a high-quality teacher at undergraduate and graduate levels.
