The Department of International Business at HEC Montréal is seeking to recruit one or more professors in international business. The committee is particularly interested in candidates whose research addresses, among other topics, international trade, global governance, the management and strategy of multinational enterprises, innovation and globalization, local/regional and national economic development, as well as new themes related to sustainable and inclusive economic development in diverse national and international contexts.

The Department seeks primarily to recruit at the rank of Assistant Professor, ideally a recent PhD graduate or a candidate close to completing a doctorate in international business or a related field (e.g., economics, geography, political science) Responsibilities of the selected candidate include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as advancing a research program in international business.

The main language of instruction at HEC Montréal is French, and some courses and programs are offered in English. Proficiency in English is required to teach courses in this language, to communicate with non-French-speaking students, and to carry out certain research activities. The person must be able to teach and work in French after 2 years in the position.
