Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Budget Lab, a policy research center at Yale Law School, is searching for one or more applied microeconomists.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in the analysis of current and proposed public policies. This entails developing research designs, policy questions, and work plans relevant to the Budget Lab’s work. In some cases, it requires building new modeling capacity for exploration of policy counterfactuals.
We are seeking candidates from a range of fields, with special (but not exclusive) interest in housing economics. Applicants should have experience with applied, policy-oriented quantitative research and an interest in communicating analytical results to policy audiences. The successful candidate will combine insights from economic theory and relevant institutional knowledge as they conduct empirical research and microsimulation analysis. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative team that typically uses R.
The Budget Lab is a primarily remote-work organization. This role may be located in any of the states approved for remote work by Yale University pending approval.
