Assistant Professor, Public Policy and Management with a Focus in Urban Policy and Governance
The John Glenn College of Public Affairs at Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Public Policy and Management with a focus in Urban Policy and Governance at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Autumn 2027. Research and teaching interests should focus on urban policy and governance, broadly defined, including but not limited to research related to housing, transportation, land-use, critical infrastructure, economic or workforce development and other place-based policies. We welcome applicants with training in related social science disciplines, including (but not limited to) public affairs, public policy, public management, public administration, economics, sociology, planning, geography, or political science. Responsibilities will include teaching core and elective courses in the college’s undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degree programs. We encourage applicants to describe teaching and professional development experiences that have prepared them to teach and mentor learners at all levels. In addition to scholarship and teaching, responsibilities will include service to the college, university, community, and professional associations.
