The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) seeks highly qualified candidates for Economist positions with strong potential to contribute substantially to research and policy analysis.
Successful candidates will conduct both independent and policy-directed research on central banking issues and will contribute to the policy-making process. Strong oral and written communication skills are required, along with excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Candidates should be able to present complex economic analysis clearly to diverse audiences.
Economists at the CBRT work closely with policymakers and regularly present their analysis as part of the Bank’s decision-making process. At the same time, the CBRT offers a stimulating and collaborative research environment, with generous support for research activities and conference travel, as well as access to a rich and continuously expanding range of economic and financial data. The Bank regularly hosts workshops and conferences that bring together researchers and policymakers from leading central banks, international organizations, and universities.
Applicants must be Turkish citizens and meet the eligibility requirements in the CBRT’s employment regulations, except the age requirement. Candidates are expected to have completed, or to complete, a doctoral degree by the end of 2027.
