The Department of Economics is seeking applicants for Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (non-tenure track) beginning September 2027. Lecturers contribute to the institution’s mission and the vitality of its undergraduate program by providing high-quality instruction and fulfilling department and college service obligations.

The successful candidate will have a primary emphasis on teaching while also contributing meaningful service to the department, college, and university. Teaching responsibilities total 9 to 12 credit hours per semester (depending on class size). Candidates should have experience teaching, or willingness to teach, large-lecture sections in one or more of the following: Microeconomic Principles, Macroeconomic Principles, and Business Statistics. Additional teaching may include smaller classes in the candidate's field of interest as a lower or upper-division undergraduate course.

Minimum qualifications are: Ph.D. in Economics at beginning of appointment, prior college/university teaching experience, and a demonstrated potential for quality teaching, especially in a large lecture format. Evidence of experience or interest in teaching on-line and distance instruction is valued. Salaries are competitive.
