This position will work closely with the EBRC Director to identify, pursue, and secure externally funded economic research projects. The successful candidate will independently lead and manage funded projects, contribute to ongoing EBRC initiatives such as the MAP Dashboard and the Arizona Forecasting Project, and produce economic analyses and publications that serve clients, policymakers, business leaders, and the broader public.

This is a high-visibility position within EBRC, Arizona’s premier source of economic and demographic research. The Lead Economist will play an important role in helping grow EBRC’s externally funded research portfolio while contributing to flagship public-facing products. The position offers autonomy in project development and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on economic policy and decision-making throughout Arizona.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in R, SAS, Stata, EViews, or similar statistical and econometric software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex economic concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet client deadlines.
Experience updating websites, creating online content, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar software.
Demonstrated experience using IMPLAN and/or REMI for regional economic impact modeling.
