We are accepting applications for an Economist position in the Expert Analysis Division, Office of General Counsel, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. As an Economist, you will be responsible for serving as an authority in economics and provide expert opinions, guidance, and direction to management, trial attorneys, and others in the analysis of employment discrimination cases.

Our team of PhD-level Economists within the Expert Analysis Division at EEOC conduct independent and objective analyses of employer-specific data to assess claims of discrimination in employment and testify as experts in court. We provide expert advice and advise legal staff on appropriate analytical methods, data requirements, and statistical techniques for case development and research efforts. A background in labor economics or a related microeconomic area is preferred for this position.

The position requires a duty station at Headquarters (in Washington, D.C.) or one of the 53 EEOC Field Offices (EEOC Field Offices | U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission).

The position will be at the GS-13 level with a promotion potential at GS-14. The start date is negotiable.
