The Research Program in Development Economics (RPDE) at Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs invites applications for two Postdoctoral Research Associate positions. RPDE conducts economic research on the causes and consequences of global poverty, with the goal of informing policy and improving lives in low- and middle-income countries.
Position
Postdoctoral Research Associates will pursue their own research while actively participating in RPDE events, including the weekly seminar and graduate student lunch, and engaging with the undergraduate community. The position includes no teaching responsibilities.
This is a 12-month, in-person appointment beginning in summer 2027, with competitive salary and benefits.
Qualifications
Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. after September 1, 2026 and before the start date. The position is subject to Princeton’s background check policy. The University will sponsor a J-1 visa for this one-year appointment, and applicants may apply regardless of citizenship or prior U.S. work authorization.
