The Institute of Population and Human Capital at Yonsei University invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellows. We welcome qualified candidates with a strong interest in population and human capital research.

Main Responsibilities
Conduct independent and collaborative research in Health, Education, Population, Migration, Family, Vulnerable Populations, Inequality, Children, Aging, AI, and International Development.
Analyze large-scale administrative datasets.
Design, implement, and analyze large-scale Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs).
Support ongoing research and book projects.
Mentor master’s students and assist in preparing teaching materials.
Develop and lead independent research aligned with the Institute's priorities.

Postdoctoral Fellows will be matched with research topics suited to their expertise. Research will be conducted in collaboration with faculty members at Yonsei University, under the supervision of the Institute Director, Hyuncheol Bryant Kim.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.
Strong background in applied microeconomics.
Experience working with large administrative datasets and/or RCTs is highly preferred.

Selection and Appointment
Document screening followed by interviews.
Flexible start date from January 2027 through September 1, 2027, with earlier availability preferred.
Initial two-year appointment, with possible renewal for a third year.
