The Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan invites applications for a tenured faculty position (associate or full professor) focused on Democracy Policy—an emerging field treating democracy as a policy domain with identifiable problems and actionable interventions. This position is part of a university-wide faculty cluster focused on democracy policy, data, and civic education.
We welcome scholars from political science, public policy, public administration, economics, law, and related social sciences. Candidates must demonstrate research excellence, a commitment to teaching across undergraduate and graduate (Master's/PhD) programs, and an interest in public and policy engagement within an interdisciplinary environment. Joint appointments with other university units are negotiable.
