Northwestern College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor of economics beginning August 2026. The teaching load is 24 credit hours per academic year, normally 3-3. The successful candidate will also be responsible for scholarship and service, including advising and recruiting students.

The successful candidate will teach a range of economics courses, possibly including:
Principles of Finance
Investments
Advanced Corporate Finance
Principles of Microeconomics
Intermediate Microeconomics
Econometrics

There may be opportunities to teach other courses in the candidate’s areas of specialization.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in economics or a closely related field to be considered for a tenure-track position (ABD will be considered). A master’s degree with extensive experience would qualify candidates for instructors or professors of practice.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have demonstrated effective teaching in higher education. A commitment to collegiality, relationship-rich education and mentoring is valued.
