The Department of Economics at Universidad del CEMA (www.ucema.edu.ar), Buenos Aires, Argentina, invites applications for an Assistant Professor position beginning August 2026, or later by agreement.
We seek an applied microeconomist with strong expertise in empirical methods and program evaluation, including randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental designs and cost-benefit analysis. We especially welcome candidates working in one or more of the following fields: law and economics; labor economics; poverty and inequality; health economics; human capital; public economics; behavioral economics; Economics of Crime; and managerial economics.
Fluency in English is required; Spanish is preferred.
The successful candidate may spend up to three months per year as a visiting researcher at the Becker Friedman Institute for Economics (BFI), University of Chicago, during its Winter Quarter (January–March).
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Economics by the start date but may be ABD when applying.
