Resources for the Future (RFF) seeks to improve environmental, energy, and natural resource decisions through impartial economic research and policy engagement. RFF has shaped many of the world’s most successful environmental policies over the past 70 years.
RFF is seeking mid and senior PhD-level researchers in economics or related fields with a desire to engage policy audiences and make lasting impacts on environmental decisions.
Successful Fellows develop and lead research projects with research staff, actively engage with diverse policy and stakeholder audiences, communicate in the public arena, contribute to fundraising efforts, and help set organizational strategy. Expertise and research production in energy, environmental, and/or climate-related issues is required.
A PhD in economics or closely-related field, and over 5 years (Mid-Career) or 15 years (Senior) of post-degree experience in environmental, energy, or climate policy research; OR,
Another graduate degree (e.g. MA, JD, MPP in fields related to environmental economics) and over 10 years (Mid-Career) or 20 years (Senior) of post-degree experience in climate policy research and engagement.
