Mississippi State University seeks a 12‑month, tenured faculty member in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with split responsibilities in research (50%) and Extension (50%). This position serves as Director of the Southern Rural Development Center (SRDC). The Director provides leadership for policies established by the SRDC Board of Directors and oversees the Center’s budget, programs, and operations. Key responsibilities include generating and directing innovative multistate research and Extension initiatives; promoting the SRDC’s mission to funding agencies, partners, and clientele; securing external funding; and fostering effective partnerships among the region’s 1862, 1890, and 1994 land‑grant institutions.
