The Department of Economics is seeking to hire part-time, non-tenure-track faculty members, each to teach at least one and up to five undergraduate classes in the academic year 2026-2027. The interest is in Principles of Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Economics of Energy Markets, and Behavioral Economics. This appointment will begin September 2026, will be for one academic year in duration, and may be renewable. Compensation is governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governing part-time faculty employment and includes eligibility for health, dental, vision, and insurance benefits, if teaching three or more courses. The Tufts Economics Department is dedicated to effective teaching and is committed to a belonging and supportive teaching environment. All candidates are expected to possess a Ph.D. or to complete their Ph.D. by August 1, 2026.
