Full Text of JOE Listing:
Harvard’s Center for Education Policy Research seeks to transform education through the power of research and evidence. The Senior Research Manager at CEPR will lead rigorous quantitative studies that inform education policy and practice. The role oversees the full research lifecycle: shaping research questions, designing studies, contributing to grant proposals, managing data collection, conducting analyses (primarily in Stata), and helping write reports and academic papers.
A major initial responsibility will likely be managing a partnership with an education nonprofit in the Philippines and government partners, supporting school improvement and developing a research agenda. The position supervises and mentors research analysts, provides technical training in research methods and statistical programming, and leads professional development workshops.
The Senior Research Manager ensures the quality and reproducibility of all analyses through careful study design, code review, documentation, and error checking. The role also involves coordinating with CEPR executive leadership, principal investigators, and leadership at partnership organizations, building strong collaborative relationships, and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
This full-time, one-year term position (with strong possibility of continuation) is based in Cambridge with a hybrid schedule (three days on campus, two remote) and a salary range of $100,000–$105,000, plus Harvard’s comprehensive benefits package.
