The Department of Economics at the University of Illinois at Chicago invites applications for a Visiting Full-Time Lecturer position for the 2026-2027 academic year. Lecturers are responsible for teaching introductory and intermediate courses, field courses, and supervising teaching assistants, as needed.

Qualifications include experience teaching economics at the University or College level and a MA degree in economics or a related discipline. Applicants should be qualified to teach a range of undergraduate economics courses.

The appointment is not a tenure-track appointment. The salary range for the position is $70,000 - $83,000. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications will be reviewed as they are received.

Note that final authorization of the position is subject to state-funding availability.
