The Economics Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year visiting position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2026. We seek candidates who will be a strong teacher who can add to our curriculum and who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with broadly diverse student populations. Your cover letter should address the ways in which you would enhance the educational experience of students and further the College’s educational goals.

The teaching load is 5 courses per year. Candidates with ABD will be considered, although candidates with a Ph.D. are preferred. The teaching load for this position is five courses per year. The expected 9-month base salary range for this position is $97,475 to $100,600. Candidates should submit a cover letter, c.v., research sample, three reference letters, and graduate transcript via Interfolio.
