Full Text of JOE Listing:

Under the broad direction of the Governing Board, the thought leadership of the President, the guidance of the Chief Economist and other senior management officials, the (Senior) Data Analyst is expected to play a leading role in the delivery of high-quality knowledge products and analytical work on a wide range of economic issues.

1. Key Responsibilities:
a. Lead data-related work.
b. Conduct statistical and data analysis.
c. Collect, develop, and construct new and innovative datasets for policy-oriented research and analysis related to economic issues in ASEAN and East Asia.
d. Engage with key stakeholders (governments, industry, academia, and other international and non-governmental organisations) through knowledge management, policy guidance, technical assistance, and capacity-building activities.
e. Perform other related duties as assigned by the President, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Economist, and/or other senior management officials.

2. Qualifications:
a. Strong experience in data construction and data analysis, with proficiency in relevant data analysis software. Experience in AI-related data work is an advantage.
b. At least five years of relevant professional experience.
c. An advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Data Science, or another relevant field.
d. A strong understanding of macroeconomic frameworks, fiscal policy, econometrics, and regional economic dynamics, particularly within ASEAN and East Asia, is highly desirable.
e.Excellent written communication skills.
f. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a multicultural team.
g. Experience communicating with government officials in Asian countries and familiarity with regional working cultures are preferred.

3. Language:
a.Excellent written and spoken English.
b.Proficiency in East Asian languages would be an asset.

4. Working Conditions and Terms of Employment:
a. Salary and Benefits
- ERIA offers an internationally competitive salary, including accommodation and education allowances. Salary is denominated in US dollars.
b. Term
- The appointment is for a fixed term of one or two years, with the possibility of renewal up to a maximum of five years in total, subject to reappointment by the President, performance, and the continuation of the budget.
c. Working location
