The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Concordia University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Empirical Urban Economics of Transportation Electrification, an area aligned with the Volt-Age electrification research program. The expected start date is August 1, 2026.
Candidates must have completed their PhD in Economics or be near completion at the start date of the appointment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent potential in empirical economics, with strong skills in causal inference and applied econometric methods. Priority will be given to candidates whose current research examines the economic impacts of transportation electrification.
Concordia University is an English-language institution of higher learning at which the primary language of instruction and research is English. Since this position supports academic functions of the university, proficiency in English is required. Working knowledge of French, including reading and grading student work in French, is an asset.
