The Department of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at the University of Rhode Island invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct applied research on climate change adaptation and coastal management in the U.S. Funded by the National Science Foundation, the successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary, multi-state team working on non-market valuation and experimental approaches with strong potential for high-impact publications and policy relevance.
The postdoc will lead research on the economic impacts of climate change on coastal communities and adaptation strategies; design and implement surveys and experiments; conduct non-market valuation and hedonic price analyses; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; prepare manuscripts, policy briefs, and presentations; and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
