Tulane University’s Department of Economics, Education Research Alliance for New Orleans, and National Center for Research on Education Access and Choice (REACH) invite applications for a postdoctoral Research Fellow in Economics of Education to begin a two-year appointment in fall 2026. We invite applications from candidates who will receive a Ph.D. in economics by that time.
In addition to conducting and publishing original research about local and national school choice policy using our extensive data systems, the Fellow will teach one course at the undergraduate economics level annually, work on the AEFP Live Handbook of Education Policy, and participate in seminars and other activities in the Economics Department and other units.
One-third of the Fellow’s time will focus on studies co-authored with team members involving education policy; one-third is available for research of the candidate’s choosing. The remaining third will involve teaching, the research handbook, and/or research-related activities as requested.
Interviews will begin in January. Applications will be accepted through February 28, 2026.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Economics or Public Policy and demonstrated interest in policies related to K-12 education.
