The Economics and Management School at Wuhan University (https://ems.whu.edu.cn/English.htm) and The Institute for Advanced Study at Wuhan University (https://ias.whu.edu.cn/English.htm), China, invite applications for full-time, tenure-track or tenured positions at all levels beginning in Fall 2026. We are interested in all fields but candidates who have strong background in Insurance, Macroeconomics, Empirical Industrial Organization, Econometrics, and Finance are especially preferable.

To apply for assistant professor position at the Economics and Management School, a candidate needs to have a top field journal publication. For candidates specializing in Insurance or Risk Management, the publication requirement is somewhat flexible, and outstanding candidates without top field publications but with strong pipelines may also be considered. Junior candidates without publications are encouraged to apply for the postdoc positions. To apply for associate or full professor positions, candidates must demonstrate excellent publication records.

To apply for tenured associate or full professor positions at the Institute for Advanced Study, a new pilot program of the tenure-track system at Wuhan University, candidates should have qualifications comparable to those for similar positions at top-tier universities. Special support will be provided by the university in terms of compensation, research fund, teaching, and Ph.D supervision.

All candidates should be committed to teaching and research excellence. Compensation packages are highly competitive and commensurate with qualification and positions.
