VCU Department of Economics seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in macroeconomics, broadly defined. Strong preference is for individuals with research interests to complement existing expertise in the department, which spans the intersection of quantitative macro, public, labor, and family economics.

VCU Economics faculty are actively engaged in research, conduct a regular seminar series, and host regional, national, and international conferences. More information about the department’s teaching and research-related activities can be found at: https://business.vcu.edu/academics/economics/.

Applicants should have an established research agenda, clear potential for external funding, and potential for high-quality scholarship. PhD in Economics or closely related field by August 2026 required. Applicants must have demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
