The Postdoctoral Associate/Research Scientist will serve as a member of the Seafood Economic Analysis and Marketing Research team at the Virginia Seafood AREC. Contribute to the development and compilation of datasets focused on the U.S. seafood sector (fisheries and aquaculture) and perform qualitative and quantitative investigations of U.S. seafood sector. Work collaboratively with a national network of researchers to develop new tools and analysis for U.S. seafood sectors. This is a one-year funded position, with extension contingent upon additional grant funding. Virginia Tech is unable to sponsor applicants for work visas for this vacancy.

At the Postdoctoral Associate level: Support the execution of research objectives, assist with preparation of project deliverables, dissemination of results and findings to relevant stakeholders, and participate in outreach activities. The position will assist with development of project reports to sponsors and expected to support the development and preparation of new proposals.

At the Research Scientist level: Lead the execution of research objectives, preparation of project deliverables, dissemination of results and findings to relevant stakeholders, and participate in outreach activities. Be responsible for project management and preparation of reports to sponsors, meeting internal VT and sponsor-imposed deadlines. Lead the development and preparation of new proposals.
