The Department of Economics at Villanova University seeks to fill two tenure-track positions beginning Fall 2026 at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The selected candidates will possess research and teaching interests in one or more of the fields listed above and be committed to teaching and research of the highest quality. Being situated in the business school, the department is especially interested in individuals with strong applied research skills and an interest in business-related topics.

The appointments involve an initial teaching load of two courses per semester, in addition to maintaining an active research agenda leading to high-quality publications. Villanova University is a nationally ranked institution and values both teaching and research excellence, offering corresponding incentives and compensation. For example, a strong publication record leads to a reduced teaching load of three courses per year, in addition to generous levels of summer support.
