The Department of Economics at the University of Chile invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor position, contingent on budget approval.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Economics or a closely related field by the appointment date. We are specifically seeking specialists in Macroeconomics. The position requires a strong potential for impactful research and effective teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

While Spanish fluency is not mandatory at the start, candidates must be willing to teach in Spanish within a few years. The School of Economics and Business will provide substantial support in securing a work visa for the successful international candidate.

The application deadline is December 6, 2025, via the Job Openings for Economists (JOE) system. Required materials include: a cover letter, curriculum vitae, job market paper, an additional research paper, and three recommendation letters.
