The Position:

Assistant Professor, Economics/Finance (Tenure-track)

Job Summary:

The Accounting, Business, Economics, and Finance (ABEF) Department at Muhlenberg College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in economics or finance. The successful candidate will teach quantitative courses across both the economics and finance majors, with the ability to teach econometrics being essential. Other courses will align primarily with the candidate's specialty and may include corporate finance, public finance, mergers and acquisitions, and/or industrial organization. The standard teaching load is three courses per semester.

The successful candidate will also conduct, present, and publish research in their field that informs their classroom instruction. The ABEF Department is dedicated to outstanding teaching and expects its faculty to contribute to Muhlenberg’s diverse academic community through innovative pedagogy, collaborative research, service, and commitment to equity and belonging.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in economics or finance (or be ABD with degree earned by September 2026) and demonstrated teaching experience. Successful candidates must complete satisfactory background checks, including, but not limited to, education verification, criminal background checks, and child abuse clearance.
