The Department of Economics seeks three Post Doctoral Scholars to join our team.
The Post Doctoral Scholar will work on one or more studies of the economics of science, innovation, and education, including student debt and outcomes, interdisciplinarity, the STEM workforce and careers, and the effects of investments in research on local economies. The postdoc will design, conduct, and manage research projects and be involved in disseminating and reporting results. The Scholar will have opportunities for professional development and for engagement in the life of the Department. The scholar will be part of larger research teams that provide support and mentoring.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in economics, public policy and management, sociology, finance, public health, or computer/library/information sciences by the start of employment. Experience in social science research and demonstrate expertise or strong interest in one or more of the following areas: the economics of science and innovation, education, consumer or household finance, urban and regional economics, labor economics, or spatial econometrics.
