The Free Market Institute at Texas Tech University seeks to hire one (1) Post-Doctoral Research Associate for a one-year, renewable term for the 2026-27 academic year, starting September 1, 2026. The Free Market Institute is organized under the Vice President of Research & Innovation with several affiliated faculty members. The Post-Doctoral Research Associate will contribute to the research mission of the Free Market Institute through the development and execution of independent and collaborative research projects and participation in the Institute’s several research and outreach programs. All candidates for the position must have earned a Ph.D. degree prior to the start date. Candidates with a Ph.D. in economics or a field related to the mission of the Free Market Institute will receive priority consideration. Candidates must have either a demonstrated track record of published research or a demonstrated ability to establish a focused research program that will contribute to the Institute’s research mission.
