Lehigh University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a tenured / tenure-track faculty position as Associate Professor of Economics with a specialization in microeconomic theory, with an anticipated start date of July 2026. Candidates should have earned a PhD in economics or a closely related field. Candidates with tenure at their current institution are eligible for appointment with tenure. Senior assistant professors, or equivalent, will be considered for appointment as Associate Professor without tenure.
The successful candidate will be expected to have and maintain a strong record of high-quality scholarship and contribute to the teaching and service missions of the department, the college, and the broader university. Teaching responsibilities will include an advanced course in microeconomic theory for PhD students.
The Department of Economics (https://business.lehigh.edu/departments/economics) offers PhD, MS in Applied Economics, and BS/BA degrees. Department faculty are actively engaged in research and teaching, with numerous teaching awards and publications in leading general and field journals. Department faculty are also involved in the use and administration of the Lehigh Business Behavioral Research Lab (https://business.lehigh.edu/centers/behavioral-research-lab).
