The Department of Economics at St. Olaf College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position in Empirical Macroeconomics at the Assistant Professor level, to begin August 2026.

We seek candidates with interests in one or more of the following areas: Financial Economics, Macroeconomic Labor and Unemployment, Big Data, Financial Data, and/or Economic History. The successful candidate will teach courses in intermediate macro theory, introductory and advanced econometrics (either cross-sectional or time series), and both intermediate and advanced elective courses related to their fields of study. They will conduct research and advise student projects.

New tenure-track faculty are eligible for research start-up funds and also receive annual professional activity funds. Additional funds to support research and travel are available by application.
