The Department of Economics at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning fall 2026 in the area of Microeconomic Theory. Vanderbilt stresses excellence in research and teaching in its doctoral, masters, and undergraduate programs.

Appointment at the Assistant Professor level requires a Ph.D. as of August 1, 2026. Advanced assistant professors within 4 years or so of their Ph.D. with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching are strongly encouraged to apply.
