The Haskayne School of Business invites applications for a Chair appointment in Risk Management and Insurance at the level of Full Professor or Associate Professor with Tenure. The appointment will commence July 1, 2026, or at a mutually agreeable date.

The Chair will:

provide leadership for the continuing support and development of the Risk Management and Insurance concentration
work with internal and external stakeholders to promote the Risk Management and Insurance concentration.

Required Qualifications:
A completed doctorate degree in risk management and insurance, finance, economics, actuarial science, or other closely related fields.
An outstanding record of research that demonstrates significant contributions to risk management and insurance. Areas of research may include any of the fields related to risk management and insurance, such as insurance economics, insurer operations, enterprise risk management, household finance, pensions and employee benefits, and actuarial science.
Excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and supervise students.
Evidence of curriculum development and innovation in risk management education.
Proven ability to engage with industry and build relationships with the business community.
