The UMass Boston Economics Department invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Health Economics and related fields to begin September 1, 2026.

UMass Boston is an urban public research university and the third most diverse university in the country. The Economics Department at UMass Boston is a vibrant and diverse group with an established history of methodological and theoretical pluralism with particular focus on issues related to poverty, inequality, gender, and race. This position will further deepen our focus in these areas, as well as support our growing cohorts of undergraduate majors as well as the Department's M.A. in Applied Economics.

Qualifications: Evidence of progress towards an excellent scholarly record and the ability to teach Health Economics and Econometrics. Evidence of successful teaching with diverse students is highly desirable. Completion of the doctoral degree in Economics or related discipline by August 31, 2026 is required.
