Full Text of JOE Listing:
We are hiring multiple postdoctoral researchers to join an interdisciplinary team collaborating with a major ride-hailing platform. The project explores digital marketplace design using rich proprietary data, focusing on pricing, incentives, dispatch algorithms, and service quality. Researchers will apply methods in causal inference, machine learning, structural modeling, and simulation to uncover actionable insights.
The position is formally affiliated with CUHK-Shenzhen under the supervision of Prof. Yiming Zhang. Coauthors include Profs. Qiuping Yu (Georgetown), Yong-Pin Zhou (UW), and Yunan Ji (Georgetown).
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Economics, Operations, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field; strong econometrics/ML skills and proficiency in Python, R, Stata, MATLAB, or similar tools. Research experience in empirical IO, applied micro, or platform economy preferred.

• Salary: RMB 470,000–580,000 (USD 66K–80K) + benefits
