The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics invites applications for an open rank Instructor position with primary responsibility for teaching agribusiness-related classes in the undergraduate program. Depending on the background of the successful candidate and departmental needs, other duties may include teaching in the department’s online M.S. program and student advising and recruitment.

The position is a restricted, nontenure-track, academic year appointment. Candidates are sought to provide high-quality teaching in the broad areas of agribusiness management and entrepreneurship, including courses in the following areas: economics of the food and fiber system, foundations of agribusiness, agribusiness marketing, agricultural financial management, small business management and entrepreneurship, agricultural management and problem solving, applied economic problem-solving, agribusiness strategy, agribusiness sales, human resource management, spreadsheet-based applications in agribusiness management, and internships in agribusiness management, and other courses as needed related to the agricultural and applied economics curriculum.

This is a nine-month, academic year appointment. Opportunities for earning additional income during the summer by teaching or engaging in sponsored projects are available.
