Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics at the University of Illinois at Chicago invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor position for the 2025-2026 academic year. Teaching Professors are responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, supervising teaching assistants, and supervising undergraduate and MA level research. They are also expected to contribute to the intellectual life of the department and perform department service.

Qualifications include experience teaching economics at the University or College level and a PhD Degree in Economics or a related discipline. Applicants should be qualified to teach a range of undergraduate and MA level economics courses.

The appointment is not a tenure-track appointment. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications will be reviewed as they are received.

Note that final authorization of the position is subject to state-funding availability.
