The Economics Department at UTS Business School is seeking to make a fixed-term appointment (up to 2.5 years) at Research Associate, or Fellow level.

The successful candidate will contribute to the Australian Research Council-funded project “Inequality and intergenerational mobility: measuring what matters and why” (DP250102243) as a junior collaborator with the Investigators - Prof Peter Siminski (UTS), Prof Roger Wilkins (UMelbourne), Dr Nathan Deutscher (UTS) and Prof Bhashkar Mazumder (UC-Irvine).

The position will be based at UTS. UTS has been ranked near the top of Australian universities for economics in every round of the “Excellence in Research” evaluation since 2010.

Experience/Qualifications required
• A PhD in Economics
• Demonstrated experience in applied econometrics
• Demonstrated experience in working with administrative data, managing large datasets
• Demonstrated experience in survey research methods
• Knowledge of and ability to apply Equal Opportunity principles.

Base Salaries:
• Post-Doctoral Research Associate (Level A): $92,761 to $112,977 pa
• Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (Level B): $123,389 to $146,038 pa

Plus 17% superannuation

This position is full-time, but consideration will be given to part-time appointments.
