Luther College seeks an economist for a one-year visiting instructor (rank open) to begin Fall 2025. We seek candidates with an ability and interest in teaching courses spread over fall, January, and spring term including: econometrics, statistics, and intermediate microeconomics and/or a senior research seminar. Candidates with an interest in contributing to our interdisciplinary programs such as environmental studies or international studies are particularly encouraged to apply, to teach courses such as environmental economics, development economics, and international trade.

Applicants should hold PhD by September 1, 2025, a Master’s degree or ABD will be considered at Instructor rank. The successful candidate will communicate knowledge of and interest in teaching at Luther College. Candidates should demonstrate potential for excellence in college teaching and effectiveness in mentoring undergraduates.
