The Department of Economics seeks to fill one full-time tenure-ineligible position at the rank of Instructor. We are looking for an economist well prepared to teach a variety of economics courses, including large sections of introductory microeconomics and macroeconomics.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching courses at the undergraduate level. The standard teaching load is four classes per semester, with additional service requirements according to department needs.

Required Qualifications:
Doctorate in Economics earned by August 2025
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching, including large sections of 100-200 students
Experience using online and experiential instructional methods.
