The Economics Department at Marquette University invites applications for a non-tenure track, Assistant Professor of Practice position beginning Fall 2025. The position entails teaching a range of possible courses, depending on area of expertise and departmental need, and participating in university service activities. Courses could include principles (micro and/or macro), intermediate microeconomics, mathematical economics, managerial economics, and/or a field course in the applicant’s area of expertise. Applicants should state their areas of instructional expertise in their cover letter.

Academic year teaching load for this position is 4/4. This position has an initial one-year term contract, with the possibility of ongoing renewal and eventual promotion to Associate Professor of Practice. Salary is competitive.

The successful candidate must show a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level and demonstrate quality teaching experience. A PhD in Economics is preferred but those with a Master’s and strong record of teaching will be considered.
