The Minnesota Council on Economic Education (MCEE), an entrepreneurial, innovative non-profit organization housed in the Department of Applied Economics (ApEc) at the University of Minnesota, is seeking an executive director to lead the organization who will also contribute to the undergraduate teaching mission of ApEc. The mission of MCEE is to equip Minnesotans with the economic and personal financial understanding needed to succeed in today’s complex economy. MCEE accomplishes its mission by developing and delivering professional development courses and workshops for K-12 teachers and providing direct programs to K-12 students.

The successful candidate will teach one to two semester-length ApEc courses yearly, and direct all operations of MCEE – ensuring that all MCEE programming and curriculum aligns with state academic standards, and managing key MCEE relationships with the K-12 community, the funding community, government agencies and other non-profit organizations in MN and nationally to support fullment of MCEE’s mission and goals.

Non-tenure track, 9-month, 100% appointment with guaranteed summer salary and administrative augmentation. The successful candidate will be hired into Teaching Professor or Teaching Associate Professor level, depending on qualifications.
