Tenure-stream: Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor

Applicants should have a PhD degree in economics (specialization areas including, but not limited to, development economics, environment and resource economics, sustainable development). Applications are invited for faculty position at the rank of full professor/associate professor level with prospect for tenure. Junior candidates with very competitive academic records will be considered for position of tenure-track assistant professor.

The appointee is expected to commence work in AY2025-26; to be a leading scholar in the field of sustainable development; to teach a range of courses in core areas of environmental economics and development economics; to develop cooperative relations with sustainability industries; and to assist in curriculum development and administrative assignments. A PhD must be in hand prior to taking up the appointment.

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made under the establishment of CUHK-Shenzhen and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the People’s Republic of China. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. Successful applicants can also apply for additional benefits through high-talent schemes at the Guangdong provincial level, the Shenzhen city level, and the Longgang district level.
