The rank of the appointment will depend on the individual’s credentials and experience. The appointment will carry no presumption of academic tenure or reappointment beyond the period stated above. The candidate must be able to deliver excellent instruction, both in an in person and online environment, and to contribute to course and curriculum development. The position entails responsibility for two types of duties:

This constitutes an 87.5% teaching appointment. These classes will be undergraduate courses in agribusiness. The specific courses to be taught are to be negotiated with the Department Chair in consultation with the Undergraduate Program Leader on an annual basis. Courses to be taught will be undergraduate offerings in areas like agribusiness marketing, management, entrepreneurship, and or project design and

Administration and service: The individual will have a 12.5% service appointment to allow for involvement in the academic life of the department as relates to their instructional work. This includes activities such as course revision and development, discussion of department undergraduate curricula, occasional involvement in student recruiting activity, and occasional engagement with industry regarding student career preparation and internship opportunities. Upon negotiation with the Department Chair, non-classroom student related scholarly activities (e.g. overseeing summer internships, club advising, other student activities) may be considered for equivalence to classroom activity.
