About the opportunity
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine and Health are partners in an exciting research initiative - the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course (Life Course Centre) - which will identify the pathways through which social and economic disadvantage are perpetuated over the life course, within communities, and across generations. The Life Course Centre is comprised of an inter-disciplinary team of renowned social scientists based at four Australian universities, NGOs, government departments, and eminent international research affiliates.

The successful candidate will work with Professor Deborah Cobb-Clark on the research agenda exploring the role of personality traits (e.g. locus of control, self-control) and economic preferences (e.g. risk attitudes) in underpinning social and economic wellbeing.
