The Department of Economics at James Madison University invites applications for multiple positions of Lecturer beginning Fall 2025. These are nontenure-track, full-time, benefits-eligible, renewable positions. Teaching load is 4/4.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary courses taught would be Introduction to Macroeconomics (ECON 200) and/or Introduction to Microeconomics (ECON 201). Secondary teaching may include electives or upper division courses.
Qualifications:
Candidates are required to have at least a master’s degree in economics. Proficiency in teaching principles of microeconomics and/or principles of macroeconomics is required. Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and a productive agenda necessary to maintain AACSB status. Demonstrated evidence of teaching effectiveness and excellent communication skills are required.
